One of the eternal questions in life, although maybe not on the scale of the meaning of life, has to be which is best – caravan or campervan? This subject can cause much heated discussion between devotees of one or the other and it is hard for them to look objectively at the facts.
Owners of a Sprite caravan or any other make will be (naturally) firmly on the side of the caravans. The arguments for are that they can leave the car at their designated campsite to be able to explore the area more easily at their leisure.
Caravans are also less expensive than campervans and cost less to run as campervans have to be taxed and insured. Those in favour of the campervan side say that a campervan is far easier to handle as it can be difficult and bulky to tow a caravan and that it is far more flexible in its usage.
Caravans are often more suitable for those who intend to visit maybe one campsite and stay on it for the whole duration of the holiday, whereas campervans tend to be better for those more impulsive travellers who hop from site to site.
At the end of the day you have to decide what is best for your requirements, your family and your personal choice and budget.
